Here at M&F we've spoken out against PC America, but not when it comes to alcoholic beverages. I've said it before and I'll say it again, #alldrinksmatter. Pretty Girl Drinks, Twisted Teas, Lime-a-Rita's, it's all good stuff, but when the Spiked Seltzer fad made its way into the fridge at M&F HQ I was a little skeptical. A low cal beverage targeting calorie-counting FitFam'ers didn't exactly appeal to us here at M&F. But then I had an epiphany, seltzer water is good, 6%alcohol is good, so I gave one a try and BAM I'm hooked. So refreshing, so rejuvenating, so seltzer-y they're goddamn delicious! And they get you drunk! Not a turn-your-lights-out drunk like the 4 Loko crave either, but more of a sneaky sustainable drunk...that sometimes turns your lights out. I'm on the bandwagon and I'm on it hard. I think it's even safe to say that Spiked Seltzers is no fad, they're here to stay! But let's be clear, it's not because of the low cal propaganda, it's not because of the catchy flavor names (maybe it's because of the catchy flavor names), it's because they are delicious and they get you drunk- really the only two things that matter regarding an alcoholic beverage. So next time you're at the liquor store do yourself a favor and pick up a variety pack of Spiked Seltzers ( or Nauti Seltzers if you want something more malty) and give a Valencia Orange a try, a West Indies Lime, Indian River Grapefruit, or if you're feeling dangerous, a Cape Cod Cran!
