http://www.barstoolsports.com/boston/some-dude-set-the-tv-binge-watching-world-record-at-a-measly-94-hours/
So Feitelberg over at Barstool blogged this a few days ago and pretty much hit it spot on, 94 hours is amateur shit. Its not a question of “if” I could be that, it’s a question of “when”. I’ve just been so busy lately you know with… check that I could spend 5 straight days on the couch legit anytime and no one would know the difference. So now I think MoviesandFood has to beat this record, right? Nothing quite says you’ve made it in life like having your company name in the Guinness Book of World Records for most consecutive hours of watching TV. The question is, how many hours do we shoot for? We all know 94 hours will be beat eventually, so if we just went to 95 that record would last about a year. We are looking to blow this record out of the water. Become immortalized by The Guinness Book of World Records. Do we go for a full week of binge watching? 168 hours? Lock that in as our goal. And we need to make this an event right? M&F HQ will be binge watching for a week straight, we’ll load up a food, booze, drugs, you know, the essentials, and people can stop by as they please to witness greatness first hand. You know where to find us.
My second question is what do we watch during this weeklong binge? I’m usually all about game time decisions but for something as legendary as this I think we need to make a play list, right? Not only is this a weeklong commitment, but what we decide to watch determines how I’m going to act for the next month, two months, maybe even year of my life. For example, when M&F watched Green Street Hooligans together we drank Fosters for the next month and fought each other every time we were drunk because, well, we were hooligans. When I binged through Entourage I emptied out my bank account in one weekend ballin’ out in VIP rooms and buying every ones drinks, and after watching Boogie Nights, well, lets just say things got weird.
So there you have it, MoviesandFood will make a playlist, pick a week, and break this record. Stay tuned for details.
PS. M&F HQ is going to looks a little like this that week...
