▪️Brewer: @BrooklynBrewery (Brooklyn, NY)
▪️Beer: Brooklyn Summer Ale
▪️Style: English Pale Ale
▪️Alc. Content: 5.0% ABV (18 IBU)
▪️The Verdict: You know summer is right around the corner when I break a sweat just walking to car. It's a pathetic existence but it's also symbolic of one of the light at the end of the miserable tunnel that we call the seasons of fall and spring. As a little reward we are greeted with these little rays of
sunshine known as summer seasonal beers.
As a borough of New York City, Brooklyn is famous for its distinct culture, deep rooted history, independent art scene & unique architectures. Deep within the 'concrete jungle' on 11th Street stands one of the most unheralded independent breweries on the east coast, Brooklyn Brewery. Established in 1987, they have only utilized word of mouth marketing, simply letting their beer do the talking. This week we tried out their Summer Ale, just one of many in their vast portfolio of craft beers. Brooklyn Summer Ale is a refreshing, flavorful pale ale made to accompany you on all your warm weather adventures. It is an artfully crafted, light English style ale that is not bitter at all & has a lemony finish to it.
It's your perfect Summer sidekick. Whether it be at the park, at the beach, on a rooftop, stoop, grilling or chilling by the pool, I recommend cracking one of these with a buddy while soaking up the last few weeks of Summer. Sharing is caring & Biggie put it best: "Spread love it's the Brooklyn way."
