After 4 episodes of Survivor, I thought it was time for a quick recap of what’s been happening for those of you who are part of the Survivor family. After four episodes the Brawn tribe has been to Tribal Council 3 out of the 4. Normally you’d think the Brawn Tribe would cruise in challenges but what they possess in strength they clearly lacked in team work and the ability to get puzzles done. The Trio of Cydney, Kyle, and Scott looks to be a tight alliance so we’ll see how far it can take them. The beauty tribe has looked fantastic. Each episodes they’ve grown closer and closer as a tribe and they always perform in the challenges. The Brains Tribe has also looked solid so far. Unlike the Beauty Tribe, the Brain Tribe has a lot more scheming and planning going on behind the curtains. These people are thinking down the road which is what you need to do in this game. There is a clear divide within this tribe though. Ya got Neal and Aubrey, and then Debbie and Joe are aligned with each other being the older folks, while Peter stands alone after his counterpart, Liz, got voted out in episode 3. I would love to see Peter go as he is a grade A cocksucker who can’t get enough of himself.
Per usual the search for idols always make for an entertaining segment. So far two castaways have found idols. The very overlooked Tai, and Alpha-Male Kyle. I’m a big fan of both of these guys so I’m pumped they both have idols. Oh ya, these two idols can be used together to form one SUPER IDOL that can be used after the votes are read. Wild stuff. Obviously this can be a recipe for some fireworks down the road.
Which brings me to last night’s episode. For those of you who watched you know it was filled with intensity. It was one of those episodes that was almost like an homage to how difficult the castaways have it on these islands. Yeah they signed up for it, but dealing with the nasty bugs, the rain and cold at night and then the blistering and unforgiving heat during the day. On top of all that, you’re barely eating and definitely not staying as hydrated as you need to be. As a result you see what you saw last night. An unprecedented THREE players going down in one challenge due to heat exhaustion. The challenge in itself didn’t look too taxing, but obviously you throw the elements in there and people start dropping like flies. Cydney from the Brawn, Debbie from the Brains, and Caleb from the Beauty. Unfortunately one of my personal favorite castaways, Caleb, was so fucked up that they medevac’ed him off the island. Before he passed out though, he won the Beauty Tribe the challenge avoiding Tribal again.
I was pretty depressed when Jeff told Caleb that he was done due to his condition. But I was nowhere near as depressed as Tai was (was actually pretty sad to watch him cry). I think I’ll miss Caleb and Tai’s interactions more than Caleb himself. Those two could not be more opposite but were like two peas in a pod which honestly was just nice to watch week to week. But the Beauty Tribe definitely took a huge hit as Caleb was in my opinion their strongest player.
Peter was influential in the Brain victory which pissed me off. I would have liked to see the Brains lose so Peter could go home, but his time will come. Coming up short yet again was the Brawn tribe. During the challenge/ after the challenge, Alecia and Scott got into a lil spat. Scott Pollard by the way is a fucking loser. Talking shit to a 100 pound chick gloating about your athletic achievements while shitting on her life. Unfortunately for Alecia, Scott is part of a tight alliance and Tribal went as expected sending the hot girl home.
Scenes for next week’s episode indicate a Murge is looming so I could not be more excited about that. Whenever there’s a Merge the game gets turned on it’s head. Old alliances vanish and new alliances are forged. It should be very interesting when the castaways drop their buffs and new tribes are formed. It will be intriguing to see which players can adapt the best to this merge and where the game goes from here. Looking forward to it. See you after the Merge.
