Yesterday in our weekly #CraftBeerWednesday segment we featured the 420 inspired Pinner Throwback IPA brewed by Oskar Blues Brewery out in Longmont, Colorado. Oskar Blues is back at it again and just released their newest creation the "BEERITO Vienna Mexican Lager" last week. If you're a huge fanboy of anything Mexican like myself, you know this is an exciting time to be a part of #teamburrito.
In a hop centric craft beer landscape where every brewery is focused on huge hop flavor, Oskar Blues wanted to take a different approach. Instead they crafted the BEERITO Vienna Mexican Lager with the intent to display the levels of complexity that can be achieved with beautiful malts. Utilizing an array of different types of barely from around the world, the BEERITO boasts notes of walnut, toasted bread, plum, honey and cocoa and weighs in at 4.0% ABV. It's safe to say I'm excited to try this. Just in time for a Cinco de Drinko review!
While doing my due diligence for this blog, I also came discovered one of the most remarkable innovations of the 21st century: The Original "BEERITO".
